Profile

My primary research interests are pedagogical applications of corpus linguistics and English vocabulary learning/teaching for Japanese secondary school and university students. In particular, I'm trying to identify and present useful vocabulary items in corpus-based teaching materials such as textbooks and wordlists.

  • コーパスで英語母語話者が頻繁に使用する定型表現や日本人学習者の英語使用実態を調査、指導の際に参照している。

  • 大学での一般学術目的の英語(English for General Academic Purposes)において、発信(書ける)語彙とすべき項目のリスト化に、コーパスを用いた量的アプローチで取り組んでいる。また、中学校・高等学校の英語で発信語彙とすべき項目の選定にも関心がある。
