This paper studies capitalist power in present Gaidai, or University of Foreign/International Universities in Japan. Taking Gaidai as an interesting case that demonstrates discourses promoting foreign language (or English) learning mixed with neoliberal order, we conduct Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s schizo-analysis on communication at Gaidai. To this end, we aim at 1. drawing a contour of student-subject in Gaidai and 2. exploring an alternative of (re)forming the subject, in other words a possibility that communication studies can offer their “becoming.”
