    This research aimed to investigate Japanese university students’ entrepreneurial development processes using the happenstance learning theory. The current research was an empirical study investigating the role of risk propensity, lifetime employment orientation, and entrepreneurship-related exploratory behaviour in developing the entrepreneurial intention of university students in Japan. Data were collected from 214 undergraduate students in Japan. The results demonstrated that the risk propensity characteristic of students influenced entrepreneurial intentions through entrepreneurship-related exploratory behaviour and lifetime employment orientation. The research also found that leadership experience moderated the relationship between risk propensity and entrepreneurship-related exploratory behaviour and the relationship between entrepreneurship-related exploratory behaviour and entrepreneurial intention. By applying the happenstance learning theory in an entrepreneurship study, the current research provides meaningful insights for research scholars, educators, and policymakers interested in the entrepreneurial intentions of students. This paper concludes with a discussion on the theoretical implications and future research directions.

    Job crafting represents the bottom-up process of change employees make in their work boundaries and plays an important role in the management of organizational change. Following the socially embedded perspective, we examine the roles of job autonomy, social skill, and employee status in predicting job crafting. Study 1 with a sample of 509 part-time employees found that job autonomy and social skill not only directly but also interactively influenced job crafting. Study 2 with a sample of 564 full-time employees further revealed that job autonomy had a stronger impact on job crafting when employee status was high, but for those with a high level of social skill, job autonomy influenced job crafting regardless of the level of employee status. Our results suggest that managers and change agents can promote job crafting for organizational change by enhancing employees' ability to interact with others effectively, along with the increase of job autonomy.

    Using survey data from 564 Japanese workers, we investigate whether family-to-work facilitation (F →WF) influences employee creativity. We also examine the moderating effect of job autonomy and centralization on the relationship between F→WF and creativity. The results show that F→WF, job autonomy, and centralization displayed significant relationships with employee creativity. In addition, the moderating effects of job autonomy and centralization are found. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.

    First, concerning the effects of working from home, the experience was demonstrated to lower employees’ work stress, and this relationship was moderated by work-family segmentation preference. Next, we studied the obstacles to working from home. We found that it decreased horizontal communication with coworkers, and that employees felt guilty utilizing the working from home policy. Furthermore, tolerance for subordinates' use of working from home was influenced by task interdependence, and this relationship was moderated by diversity and digitalization. Additionally, tolerance for coworkers' use of working from home was influenced by task autonomy and complexity, which in turn was moderated by task interdependence.
