本研究は、日本語教師の実践的コミュニケーション能力のモデル化と評価指標の構築、および実践的コミュニケーション能力育成のための教材とプログラムを開発することを目的としている。2021年度は、本研究の2年目として、以下の取り組みを実施した。
（1）日本語教師の実践的コミュニケーション能力に関する理論的考察：2020年度に引き続き、本研究に関連する先行研究や文献を収集・参照し、日本語教師の実践的コミュニケーション能力の定義づけとモデル化のための理論的枠組みについて考察を行い、能力の定義と理論的枠組みをより精緻化させた。その成果は、学術論文にまとめ公表した。
（2）当事者による実践的コミュニケーション能力についての議論：さらに、当事者の視点から日本語教師の実践的コミュニケーション能力を検討するために、また教室内コミュニケーションの課題を特定するために、日本語教師養成課程の大学生・大学院生に、日本語教師が必要とする実践的コミュニケーション能力について、グループによる議論を依頼した。この課題は、上記（1）の考察の過程で浮上したものである。また、同様のトピックで教育実習生数名によるフォーカスグループディスカッションも実施した。
（3）授業内の教師と学習者の言語行動のコード化：本研究の1年目であった2020年度は、新型コロナウィルス感染症拡大対策のため、当初の研究方法の変更を余儀なくされ、研究開始前年のパイロット調査で収録していた録画資料を文字化する作業を始めた。2021年度は、パイロット調査時に収集してあった録画資料の文字化を全て済ませた。そして（1）で構築した理論的枠組みに即して、教師と学習者の言語行動をコード化した。
上記（1）から（3）の成果は、本研究を実施するための理論的視座と基礎データをより精緻化させ、本研究を一層前進させる重要なものとなり、2022年度の研究への橋渡しができた。 -

In this study, the results of the basic research on lecture comprehension from an interdisciplinary perspective (H27-29 Basic Research C) were consolidated to develop web-based teaching materials for fostering lecture comprehension skills, and their effectiveness was verified. In addition to listening comprehension, strategies for lecture comprehension were extracted from a wide multimodal perspective, including note-taking and socio-cultural competence. Based on that, 40 can-do statements were created to indicate what can be done to improve lecture comprehension. Then, web-based teaching materials (21 in total) were produced. As a result of a pre- and post-training validation of international students (approximately 54 in total), a significant difference was confirmed in the number of notes written after the training, and self-evaluation also improved significantly in 42.5% of the items.

This study aims to verify the effectiveness of flipped learning and build the flipped learning model for Japanese language education. We paired flipped learning with Japanese language instructions (pre intermediate to advanced classes), and analyzed ①Learning outcomes (e.g. correlation analysis, comparative analysis) ②Semi-structured interview surveys with SCAT analysis and ③Questionnaire surveys with structural equation model. The results revealed that there was statistical significance for each test respectively, which verified the effects of the flipped teaching method for grammar lessons using pre-made lesson videos. And through SCAT and SEM analysis, we also observed the Japanese language learners and teachers’ view of learning changes when they realized that active learning induces them to improve their proficiency in Japanese. Therefore, it has been proven that there is a positive effect when using flipped learning in Japanese language education.

Basic study of understanding of lectures from an interdisciplinary point of view

1)We extracted words and phrases related to the function of metalanguage expressions from notes taken by 30 faculty overseas exchange and 30 Japanese students who participated in a web lectures and the results of t-tests showed a significant difference in emphatic indication and subject summarization and it was discovered that NS were writing the above words and phrases.
2) We analyzed approximately 4,000 web lectures from Japanese universities and the results of analysis of 9 representative language behaviours showed that multimodal information indication such as non-verbal cues in places which have metalanguage expressions were being conducted.
3) We conducted interviews with 15 overseas exchange students and the results of analysis using M-GTA showed that affordance with factors such as material and human resources, teachers’ multi-modal behaviour and knowledge that has already been obtained help learners to understand an academic lecture autonomously. -

This study utilizes quantitative and qualitative surveys to investigate the effectiveness of Blended Learning(BL) in Japanese Language Education. For its quantitative research, it examines the Learning outcome assessments and a questionnaire survey on BL. While in the qualitative research, the microscopic analysis was conducted on the interaction among Japanese language students using ICT.
The results of these surveys verified the effects of BL and demonstrated that there was: a strong correlative relationship between e-learning task achievement rates and the standardized test, a statistical significance which was observed between students with higher scores and with lower scores in the standardized test (t-test, p > .01), and a chance for an individual student using ICT tools to share a doubt or a question about a term and so forth with everyone, promoting awareness and understanding, as well as contributing to the interaction among students caused by the microscopic analysis. -

This research investigated international students' use of social networking services (SNS) and analyzed their online networks, peer support, and peer learning processes. The research described international students’ diverse transnational networks, online peer support processes (sharing problems with and giving advice to peers and family members), and online peer learning processes (sharing learning resources and holding discussions with peers). This research, thus, pointed to the importance of ICT as a social support resource for international students and presented a useful framework for supporting international students in using ICT.

日本語母語話者と学習者の言語・非言語の聞き手行動と相違により生じうる誤解の分析

本研究では聞き手の行動(主にあいづち)に焦点を置き、日本語母語話者(以下JJ)、中国語母語話者(以下CC)、中国人・韓国人日本語学習者(以下JC、JK)がどのように会話の中で聞き手としての行動をしているのかを調べ、その違いがどのような誤解を引き起こしているかを分析した。
その結果、主に形式面の「あ系/そう系+か/へ系」のあいづちの使用にJJと学習者の間に違いが見られ、JCの「あ系」の使用は母語である中国語の「〓」の影響を受けた語用論的転移である可能性が高いこと、JCの「そう系+か」の誤用は中国語の「是〓」の影響による転移の可能性、またJKにも同様の誤用が見られることから学習段階における「中間言語的な言語使用」の特性の可能性の両方があること、JKのJJとは異なる「へ系」の使用はJK独自のものであり、特に「へ:+話題変換の質問」の場面では不自然な展開をさせていることがわかった。そして、聞き手行動の相違により生じうる誤解では、JJは学習者の反応が少ないと認識しており、学習者の反応の不在・遅れを理解・聞き取り上のトラブルとみなして発言を繰り返しているが、その反応の不在・遅れは学習者の反応をする必要がないという意識によって生じており、誤解が生じていること、また、JJはJCの笑いに誘発される形で笑う場面は多々見られ、JJにとっては笑いによる反応をしてもいい場面である一方、学習者にとってはJJの笑いが期待される場面ではなく、JJの「笑い」が理解できないという誤解が生じていることがわかった。
本研究で明らかとなった結果は、聞き手行動の使用数からその特徴、相違を明らかにしてきたこれまでの研究に会話の構造、展開という視点を取り入れた微視的分析が必要であることを示したという点で貢献できたと考える。そして、聞き手行動に関してあまり研究が進められていない中間言語語用論の分野に貢献できたと思われる。
