    In regard to the alkali silica reaction (hereinafter, ASR), a design of “suppression” type assuming not expansion at the design phase has been carried out, based on the aggregate alkali reactivity test. However, ASR-suspected structures are still reported, and with many technical problems in inspecting, evaluating, and predicting in maintenance phase, the corrective maintenance is inevitable. In this paper, for the purpose of establishing a linked scenario between design and maintenance oriented to ASR controlling according to importance of structure, an investigation the advancement of concrete prism tests (CPT) for predicting ASR expansion behavior. Regarding the structural performance evaluation of the ASR degradation member, numerical analyses by several institutes were conducted on a common and benchmark ASR specimen. In addition to summarizing input data necessary for numerical evaluation, the challenge of performance prediction based on expansion prediction for ASR affected structures. Finally, the linked scenario between performance based design and maintenance strategy considering ASR expansion were shown.

    Strain-hardening cementitious composite (SHCC) has been increasingly used in strengthening reinforced concrete (RC) structures, whereas the behavior of an RC member with flexural strengthening using SHCC has not been clearly understood because it is affected by varied factors. This paper aims to clarify the aforementioned behavior by experimental and numerical investigations in which the numerical result is accurately verified using a newly developed numerical approach considering the influence of the tensile strain capacity of SHCC, presence of localized concrete cracks, and varying SHCC layer thickness. In the numerical approach, a zero-span tensile model with fictitious material is adopted to obtain the average tensile behavior of the SHCC layer for strengthening an RC member with cracks.

    <p>In recent years it tends to increase in the percentage of sewered population and increase in the generation rate of the sewage sludge every year. And weight reduction and effective utilization of sewage sludge and sewage sludge incinerated ash are desired more. In this research, authors aimed to use sewage sludge incinerated ash as admixture for concrete and make the influence to concrete clear. Sewage sludge incinerated ash has high ratio of restraining water, bad dispersibility by powder properties and the phosphorus included in the incinerated ash, make the setting of cement delayed. Therefore improvement of setting properties was measured by giving the condition to suggest reduction of setting time, and it was examined what kind of influence came to properties of setting and strength in mortar or concrete. To improve setting properties, authors used sewage sludge incinerated ash that was controlled the grading, limestone fine powder and accelerator, and to investigate the reason of delay on setting, the initial hydration temperature was measured. As a result, it was found that the use of limestone fine powder or accelerator enabled to reduce the setting time. This is because the promotion of initial hydration of alite by limestone fine powder or accelerator can reduce the setting time. So, authors found out that setting properties were influenced by C-S-H which makes promote initial hydration of alite. It's possible to use many sewage sludge incinerated ash as concrete materials by using these improvement methods, and we can think the utility value as the concrete material may generate.</p>

    <p>Alkali-silica reaction (ASR) can be said one of serious problem concerning with concrete structures, because ASR causes not only cracks by expansion of reaction products with water absorption but fracture of reinforcing steels. At this point, for ASR suppression, use of non-reactive aggregate, use of low alkali cement or blended cement, or limit of alkali content is recommended, and it is well known that these countermeasures have ASR controlling effect to some extent. However, especially for important structures or structures expected to have long term service life, ASR should be prevented perfectly. And for it, accurate and rapid judgement method of ASR reactivity is required. Then in this study, Raman spectroscopy was focused as quick and easy analytical method, and in order to evaluate ASR reactivity or ASR propagation level by this method in the future, property of Raman spectrum of ASR reactive aggregate and reaction products were investigated as a basic study.</p>

    This paper presents a numerical approach for evaluating the shear failure behavior of strain hardening cementitious composite (SHCC) member. The developed approach can clarify the respective contributions of both contact stress and fiber bridging stress for the shear stress transfer behavior on crack surface of SHCC member, which thus can disclose the contribution of fibers to local shear of SHCC member. In the numerical approach, a shear stress transfer model and shear lattice system are proposed, in which the shear lattice system can appropriately express the shape of crack surface, and the shear stress transfer model can accurately quantify the transferred shear stress on the crack surface of SHCC member, focusing on the contribution from both matrix's contact effect and fiber bridging effect respectively. The effectiveness of the numerical approach is confirmed through the comparison between the experimental and numerical results. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

    Shear stress transfer model of concrete was evaluated by considering the characteristics of cracked surface as parameters, which are the shape and asperity height. The parameters in the proposed shear stress transfer model were identified by using experimental results of plain concrete specimens. The reasonable agreements between the calculated results and the experimental ones on element level were confirmed. In addition, the applicability of proposed shear stress transfer model in structural level was verified. From the results, it was shown that the model could predict the behavior of RC members failed in shear using not only normal strength concrete, but also high strength concrete and light weight aggregate concrete.

    Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC) can improve not only mechanical properties but also durability due to reduced crack width. Previous researches only enhance the advantages of fiber addition. From the view point of sustainability, the treatment of FRC after the service period of concrete structures should be one of the important issues in near future. This paper presents the ability of recycling of ordinary FRC having two kinds of fiber and different fiber content. It was clarified that fiber addition makes the size of crushed concrete smaller, and the size became smaller with increasing of the fiber content. In addition, the effect of fiber type (steel and PP) on the size of produced pieces was not significant. Eventually, crushing process, which is corresponding to the process removing mortar, can remove the fiber from the recycle aggregate, because the fiber is included within only mortar.     In this study, damaged areas of RC beams failed in shear compression were experimentally evaluated by means of acrylic lattice method which can measure planar strain distribution. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element analysis was also conducted in order to verify the damage evaluation method and failure criteria of RC members failed in shear compression. As the result, damage region were evaluated by the averaged strain without mesh dependency and failure criterion for shear compression failure was proposed. It was confirmed that the proposed method was also applicable to RC beams, which has various dimension and specification, failed in both shear and flexural by the analyses. Moreover, it was shown that the proposed criterion was useful to evaluate the damage of a member in statically indeterminate structures.

    In this study, the seismic damage evaluation of underground RC structures with relatively low reinforcement ratio was discussed. Firstly, cyclic loading tests of RC beams were conducted in order to investigate the cracking behavior and deformation capacity. Secondary, analytical evaluation was conducted by Finite Element Method (FEM) considering the bond property between concrete and reinforcement, local responses of RC beams such as strains of rebars and crack widths were evaluated accurately. Moreover, the analytical evaluations for real structure were performed by FEM and fiber model analysis which is generally used in design. By comparing with both analyses, it was confirmed that the crack width obtained from fiber model analysis by averaging the strain at surface was effective as the damage index in design.

RBSM-TRUSS Network model was adopted as an analytical method, in which 3-dimensional Rigid Body Spring Method (RBSM) based on dynamic equation of motion as structural analysis and truss network model as mass transfer analysis were integrated. Moreover, the effect of rebar such as heat conduction and thermal expansion was modeled.     Shear stress transfer model of SHCC, which is one of the fiber reinforced concrete, was developed by considering the roughness of crack surface, crack distribution behavior and fiber contributions for shear resistance. The applicability of the proposed model was verified by the simulation of the structural analysis of SHCC beam failed in shear. As the results, it was shown that proposed model could simulate the shear failure behavior of SHCC. The influence of fiber contribution was also investigated and it was confirmed that bond strength of fiber in the proposed model affected the failure behavior of SHCC beam failed in diagonal shear rather than that of failed in shear compression.

    Capability of a rapid jacketing technique for damaged RC column using Ultra High Performance-Strain Hardening Cementitous Composites (UHP-SHCC), was confirmed. UHP-SHCC has tensile strength more than 8MPa and tensile strain capacity more than 1%. Cyclic loading tests for the wall specimens (cross section: 500×1200mm) were conducted. Two kinds of repair materials were adopted
    one was ordinary SHCC and the other was UHP-SHCC. Each repair material has similar material ductility (tensile strain hardening) but different tensile strength. The test results showed that the developed technique using UHP-SHCC can be applied to large size of specimens. And not only material ductility but also tensile strength affects recovery of repaired specimens (ultimate strength and energy dissipation).

    This paper introduces the meso-scale modeling of fiber reinforced concrete under mixed mode fracture. Fibers and matrix are modeled separately in this model, and each fiber is randomly arranged within the specimen models. The feature of this analytical model is to evaluate fiber resistance against shear deformation across the crack plane by calculating the pullout angle and the pullout displacement of each fiber. In order to validate the modeling, fracture analysis of the specimen with punching shear failure was conducted. It was confirmed that the proposed model can roughly simulate the failure of fiber reinforced concrete including crack patterns and load carrying capacity.

    Micro cracks occurred in concrete around tensional rebar were well known phenomenon. However, these micro cracks are difficult to detect until cracks develop to the surface of concrete, and it is not easy to repair the micro crack. In this study, autogenous ability of bond cracks along rebar was evaluated through air permeability test. Air permeability coefficients became larger by cracks along rebar due to tensile loading, and became smaller by the recuring in water condition. Observation of cracks pattern helped to understand the change of air permeability coefficients. Several small cracks along rebar were observed after the pre-cracking test, and most cracks along rebar were not found after water recuring. On the other hand, the crack pattern with air recuring condition did not change. These results indicate that bond cracks along rebar closed by generated product of autogenous healing, and it causes the decreasing of air permeability coefficients.

    A new strain hardening cementitious composite with a dense matrix, Ultra High Performance-Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites (UHP-SHCC), has been developed. This material combines excellent protective performance with a significantly higher tensile strength and strain hardening at tensile strength. Further, the material has controlled fine cracks (less than 30 microns). A low water to binder ratio with silica fume that causes a pozzolanic reaction is used in UHP-SHCC. These characteristic may give advantages for autogenous healing after the cracking.
    This paper presents autogenous healing behavior of cracked UHP-SHCC, and discusses about recovery of protective performance through air and water permeability test results. It was confirmed that UHP-SHCC has potentially autogenous healing properties. The air permeability coefficient and water permeation were dramatically decreased by increasing of re-curing period. Re-curing in water was more effective than re-curing in air for recovery. The effect of induced damage level on recovery of the used indices was not significant, because crack width was controlled and was almost the same among all the cracks. The repeatability of autogenous healing (twice in this study) was confirmed.

    Analytical model developed by the authors, using three-dimensional Rigid-Body-Spring-Method (RBSM) combined with a three-phase material corrosion-expansion model, was verified against experiments in the case of multi-rebar corrosion. The experiments of beams having multi-rebars were carried out by the other researchers using electric corrosion tests. The applicability of the analytical model was confirmed in terms of crack patterns, surface crack width and internal crack propagation due to multi-rebar corrosion. Moreover, a mechanism of crack propagation in concrete due to multi-rebar corrosion was investigated and compared with the case of single-rebar corrosion analytically. As a result, it was found that rebar spacing strongly affects crack patterns and crack propagation mechanism of concrete. Internal cracks are dominant rather than surface cracks and the propagation of internal cracks combined with surface cracks may cause de-lamination of the concrete cover.

    The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of stirrups in deep beams by investigating the shear failure mechanism analytically by using the 3-D Rigid-Body-Spring Model analytical tool. The investigation of the analytical results of the internal stress state and 3-D deformations of deep beams were the key objectives of this study. Firstly, the applicability of the analytical tool on deep beams was confirmed by comparison of analytical and experimental results. Then, the stirrup contribution to load carrying capacity of deep beams was investigated and the shear failure mechanism based on the B and D region concept was clarified analytically. To achieve this, analytical results such as stress distribution, 3-D deformations, crack patterns and strain of stirrups were investigated. Three types of stirrup effect were observed in deep beams. In the a/d= 0.5 case, the peak load increase due to the confinement effect of stirrups. In the a/d=1.0 case, the stirrup contributes to the strut action that leads to an increase in load. In the case of a/d < 1.0, the D region is dominant. On the other hand, the peak load increases significantly with increases of stirrup ratio in the case of a/d > 1.5, in which the truss analogy is dominant rather than the strut action.

    This paper introduces a rapid jacketing technique for RC column, which involves spraying UHP-SHCC. Any formwork and/or additional reinforcement are not needed. The technique may be helpful in reducing construction time and cost. Cyclic loading tests were conducted for the column specimens repaired by UHP-SHCC and ordinary polymer cement mortar. It was confirmed experimentally that the developed technique using UHP-SHCC improve not only ultimate load but also ductility of recovered specimen. It seems that the prevention of buckling of longitudinal reinforcement, which was constrained by UHP-SHCC, imparts the mechanical improvement to the column specimens.

    In this paper, experiments and finite element analyses were conducted in order to evaluate effects of ASR on structural performance of RC and PC structures. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the ASR expansion was affected by the restraint of reinforcement and the magnitude of prestress. The material properties of concrete damaged by ASR had anisotropic characteristics depending on the degree of ASR expansion. Therefore, when the structural performance of RC and PC structures were evaluated by using the material properties of core concrete, the direction and place where cylinder specimens were cored should be considered. On the other hand, by means of proposed analytical method, ASR expansion behaviors of RC and PC beams and changing of their structural performance were evaluated. As the results, it was confirmed that PC structure had much advantage comparing with RC structure regarding the structural performance under ASR damage because of restraint by prestress against the ASR.

    A new lateral stirrup design is proposed for short deep beams by considering three-dimensional effects. A series of tests were carried out in order to demonstrate the effect of proposed design. The test results of proposed stirrup design indicated the increase of load carrying capacity and energy dissipation in post-peak behavior. Test results were confirmed by analytically using 3-D Rigid-Body-Spring-Model (RBSM) that is a representative method of discrete element method. It was confirmed by the analytical results that the effectiveness of new stirrup design was caused by confinement effect provided by lateral stirrups.

    The mechanical behavior and fracture mechanisms of SHCC member failed in diagonal shear were evaluated both experimentally and analytically. Ultra High Performance Strain Hardening Cementitious Composite (UHP-SHCC) was applied as structural material. In the analysis, shear transfer model for SHCC was proposed based on its characteristics of cracking, that is, multiple fine cracking during strain hardening region and localization in one crack during strain softening region. As results, it was confirmed that proposed model was suitable for the mechanisms of shear transfer of SHCC and reasonable to predict the behavior of SHCC beam failed in diagonal shear.

    Analytical study on cracking behavior of concrete due to rebar corrosion in the cases of multi-rebar specimens with various rebar spacings, of specimens with locally corroded rebar and specimens with pitting corrosion rebar was carried out. Three-dimensional Rigid-Body-Spring-Method (RBSM) with three phase material corrosion expansion model was applied to simulate crack initiation, internal cracking patterns and crack width propagation.     Ultra High Performance-Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites (UHP-SHCC) are a composite material comprising a cement-based matrix and short fibers with outstanding mechanical and protective performance. Surface protection repair using a thin layer of UHP-SHCC to extend the service life of concrete structures has been proposed, and surface protection performance associated with both a durable matrix and multiple fine cracks is required. This paper presents an example of decreased cracking ability and decreased strain capacity in UHP-SHCC specimens of a practical size. Note that, the small size dumbbell-shaped UHP-SHCC specimen can exhibit a large number of cracks and higher strain capacity. Also, this paper assesses the usage of a small amount of steel reinforcement in order to enhance the crack distribution and strain capacity of practical size UHP-SHCC specimens in tension. Practical-size specimen dimensions (cross sectional size: 200 x 50mm), which are similar to the typical size used for surface protection repair applications (depth of 30 to 70 mm), were selected in this study. Different reinforcement ratios ranging from 0.3% to 1.2% were used to evaluate the effect of the reinforcement ratio on the specimens' strain capacity and crack distribution.

    There are a wide variety of short fiber reinforced cement composites. One of the novel properties is strain hardening with multiple cracking in tension. Quantitative material design methods considering the properties of matrix, fiber and their interface should be established. This paper introduces numerical model by means of three-dimensional meso scale analysis (i.e. matrix, fiber and their interface are discretized respectively.), to simulate the tensile fracture including strain hardening and multiple cracking. In the model, the short fibers with specific length and diameter have been randomly arranged within the specimen. It was clarified that the tensile fracture of high strength Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites (SHCC) includes crack patterns significantly depended on the matrix strength, its variation and fiber distribution through the parametric studies.

    In order to evaluate the effects of Alkali Aggregate Reaction (AAR) on structural performance of RC structures, an analytical method based on three dimensional Finite Element analysis was proposed in which the AAR expansion analysis and loading analysis were combined. Then, RC beams and RC slabs deteriorated by AAR were analyzed. Through the analyses, it was confirmed that the structural performance of AAR damaged RC structure did not always degrade since the chemical prestress was introduced by AAR expansion.     Ultra High Performance Strain Hardening Cementitious Composite (UHP-SHCC) is a new strain hardening composite with a dense matrix. Its important characteristics are its high strength and significantly higher tensile strain hardening (up to 2%). One of most promised application for UHP-SHCC is to be used in repair application. In this paper, the performance of UHP-SHCC as repair material was assessed through three tests: uniaxial tensile tests
    zero-span tensile tests
    and flexural tests of RC beams repaired by UHP-SHCC. Comparison between crack elongation performances and the observed crack patterns among the three tests were conducted. The crack elongation and crack pattern obtained from the zero-span tensile tests were similar to that of repaired beam specimens. According to the zero-span tensile tests, the performance of cracking behavior of the repair material on an existing crack can be roughly estimated. On the other hand, the deformation capacity of UHP-SHCC obtained from the uniaxial tensile tests cannot be applied to the design of surface repair application directly. © 2009 Taylor &amp

    One of the novel mechanical properties of strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCC) is that they exhibit multiple fine cracks and strain hardening in tension. This promotes the use of SHCC as an effective repair material, because penetration of substances through the fine cracks is greatly reduced. Most research on SHCC has focused on its behavior and results obtained from uniaxial tensile tests, However, the crack distribution of the repair material (SHCC) layer is more concentrated adjacent to an existing crack in a substrate. So the design procedure considering the crack opening, which represents the potential for localized fracture, should be established for appropriate material selection. In this paper, the performance of SHCC as a repair material was assessed through three tests: uniaxial tensile tests; zero-span tensile tests; and flexural tests of RC beams repaired with SHCC. Comparisons between crack opening performances and the observed crack patterns of the three tests were conducted. The crack opening and crack pattern obtained from the zero-span tensile tests were similar to those of the repaired beam specimens.     The expansion model of concrete due to Alkali Silica Reaction (ASR) was proposed basing on the damage theory and introduced to the three dimensional finite element method. By comparing with the uni-axial restrained experiments, the expansion strains due to ASR, which depend on the difference of the reinforcement restraint were predicted accurately. The proposed model was applied to the ASR damaged specimens reinforced in multi-axial directions with different reinforcement ratio in order to evaluate the concrete expansion and strain localizations near the bent corner of reinforcement. Then, by comparing with experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed model was effective in predicting the ASR damages of RC structures.

    ひずみ硬化型高靭性セメント系複合材料(SHCC)を鉄筋等で補強する適用事例が提案される中,SHCCが引張力を分担できるメリットを活かし,鉄筋量を減らした部材での利用が期待される。本研究では,引張強度が約3MPa,終局時ひずみが約1%のSHCCを用い,鉄筋比が0.08~0.8%程度のはりを対象とし,曲げ破壊を確認するとともに,SHCCの最小鉄筋比について考察する。最大荷重および変形能の観点から,0.13%~0.2%程度の補強材を配置することで,安定した曲げ破壊性状が得られることが明らかとなった

    Flexural tests were carried out under the several loading conditions, to verify a constitutive model subject to both hardening process and loading histories for early age concrete. A method of specifying the shape of a bilinear tension softening curve using a volume function produced from time-dependent changes in various material properties was proposed, with its validity being verified by comparison with test results. Then, a technique of superposing a stress-strain curve specified using the volume function for each time step was analytically verified using the Rigid-Body-Spring Model. This technique roughly reproduced the load-CMOD curves obtained from the tests, proving its validity.

    The most important characteristic of High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cement Composites (HPFRCC) is the formation of multiple fine cracks in tension, which provides novel mechanical properties, such as strain hardening behavior. For these reasons, HPFRCC can be widely used in retrofitting and repairing of existing concrete structures. In a repair application, the crack in the substrate induces localized fracture within HPFRCC. Elongation performance of HPFRCC on an existing crack, which represents resistance against the localized fracture, is required in repair applications. This research proposes the zero-span tensile test to evaluate the crack elongation performance for HPFRCC, and examines the effects of test conditions (i.e. artificial crack width, steel plate thickness, and specimen thickness) on the zero-span tensile test results. This paper also reveals that the crack elongation obtained from the test is lower than the deformation capacity evaluated by ordinary uni-axial tensile tests.

    断面修復材の収縮ひび割れは,断面修復材の収縮量や材料特性,境界条件等の複数の要因が複雑に絡み合って発生するため,定量的に予測することは難しいのが現状である。本研究では,断面修復部の境界条件の違いが,断面修復材のひび割れ性状に及ぼす影響について明らかにするため,均一な収縮ひずみを入力した場合,および水分移動に基づく収縮ひずみを入力した場合のそれぞれについて,3次元Rigid-Body-Spring Model(RBSM)により解析的に検討した。特に,内部に鉄筋が配置されている場合には,鉄筋に沿ったひび割れが卓越することが確認され,3次元解析の重要性が検証された。

    三次元的な構造を有した地中RC構造物の地震時の終局時の挙動は未だ不明な点が多い。本研究では,応答変位法を用いて地中に埋設されたRC構造物が受ける荷重を想定し,三次元的な構造を有した地中RCボックス構造物の終局時挙動を三次元有限要素解析により解析的に評価した。その結果,三次元的な構造を有した地中RCボックス構造物の挙動に及ぼすせん断壁の影響は大きく,終局域に至るまでにせん断壁の効果により複雑な挙動となることが示された。

    RC部材のポストピーク領域における破壊プロセスを探ることを目的として,せん断破壊を生じるRCはりおよび柱を対象とした数値解析を行い,エネルギー吸収量ならびに吸収領域について検証を行った。その結果,斜め引張破壊には,斜めひび割れの発生,ひび割れの進展に伴う主鉄筋に沿う領域の損傷というプロセスが存在することを明らかにした。また,各プロセスにおいて,部材のエネルギー解放量が吸収量を上回る場合があり,Snapback挙動を示すことを確認した。さらに,軸力が作用するRC部材の解析を行った結果,作用軸力が増加するに従いエネルギー吸収能が高くなり,Snapback挙動が起こりにくくなることを確認した。

    The expansion model of concrete due to Alkali Silica Reaction (ASR) was proposed basing on the damage theory and introduced to the three dimensional finite element method. By comparing with the uni-axial restrained experiments, the expansion strains due to ASR, which depend on the difference of the reinforcement restraint were predicted accurately. The proposed model was applied to the ASR damaged specimens reinforced in multi-axial directions with different reinforcement ratio in order to evaluate the concrete expansion and strain localizations near the bent corner of reinforcement. Then, by comparing with experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed model was effective in predicting the ASR damages of RC structures.

    ひずみ硬化型高靭性セメント系複合材料(SHCC)を鉄筋等で補強する適用事例が提案される中,SHCCが引張力を分担できるメリットを活かし,鉄筋量を減らした部材での利用が期待される。本研究では,引張強度が約3MPa,終局時ひずみが約1%のSHCCを用い,鉄筋比が0.08~0.8%程度のはりを対象とし,曲げ破壊を確認するとともに,SHCCの最小鉄筋比について考察する。最大荷重および変形能の観点から,0.13%~0.2%程度の補強材を配置することで,安定した曲げ破壊性状が得られることが明らかとなった

    2次元RBSMと水分移動を考慮したトラスネットワークモデルを統合した解析手法に,材齢とひずみ履歴の影響を表現可能なSolidification conceptに基づく構成則およびクリープによる変形を導入した手法の開発を行った。開発した手法を用いて,ドッグボーン型一軸拘束供試体を対象とした解析を行い,乾燥収縮によるひび割れ進展挙動に対する,乾燥収縮ひずみ,クリープひずみ,材齢変化の影響を検討するとともに,実験結果との比較から開発した手法の有効性を確認した。

    本研究では,画像計測を用いてせん断圧縮破壊するはりの主ひずみ分布を測定するとともに,有限要素法により主ひずみ分布性状を再現する際の積分型非局所構成則の適用性を検討した。その結果,画像計測を行うことで,ポストピーク領域に至る主ひずみ分布を定量的に明らかにできること,著者らが提案している楕円積分領域を用いた積分型非局所構成則を用いることで,実験値に近い主ひずみ分布を解析的に得ることができる可能性を示した。

    三次元的な構造を有した地中RC構造物の地震時の終局時の挙動は未だ不明な点が多い。本研究では,応答変位法を用いて地中に埋設されたRC構造物が受ける荷重を想定し,三次元的な構造を有した地中RCボックス構造物の終局時挙動を三次元有限要素解析により解析的に評価した。その結果,三次元的な構造を有した地中RCボックス構造物の挙動に及ぼすせん断壁の影響は大きく,終局域に至るまでにせん断壁の効果により複雑な挙動となることが示された。

    A comprehensive failure analysis method for large-scale concrete structures is presented, which includes snap-back failure. Energy observation is used to describe the macroscopic mechanism of snapback occurrences and other softening failure modes. The typical snapback failures of beams and columns by shear are numerically obtained using the arc length method with selected displacement control points. The fundamental understanding of the phenomena is extended to the failure mechanism of a column where shear capacity is affected by axial force.

    A comprehensive failure analysis method for large-scale concrete structures is presented, which includes snap-back failure. Energy observation is used to describe the macroscopic mechanism of snapback occurrences and other softening failure modes. The typical snapback failures of beams and columns by shear are numerically obtained using the arc length method with selected displacement control points. The fundamental understanding of the phenomena is extended to the failure mechanism of a column where shear capacity is affected by axial force.

    V&V(Verification and Validation:検証と妥当性確認)のうち,本年度は主にValidationに関する基礎的な検討を行った.材料のばらつきを小さくするために,小型の鉄筋コンクリートはりの試験体を同一の作製方法で数十体作製し,4点曲げ試験を行い,挙動のばらつきを調べた.試験体の作製から,実験の実施,ばらつきの定量化にいたる一連の流れを実践したが,寸法が小さすぎたことの影響がやや大きく表れたため,次回の実験では寸法を大きくして挙動のばらつきを調べる予定である.また,デジタル画像相関法による変形計測の高解像度化に関する検討を行い,実験におけるコンクリートのひび割れ進展挙動を従来よりも詳細に計測できることを示した.
    実験や実現象から得られる挙動のばらつきをシミュレーションで再現する検討を行った.コンクリートのような非線形性の強い材料に対して,数値シミュレーションを複数回実施するモンテカルロシミュレーションを適用して,ばらつきを定量化するのは現実的でないため,モンテカルロシミュレーションを短時間で行うための代替モデルについて検討を行った.本年度は基礎的検討として,複数の解析手法に対して,線形回帰モデルに基づく代替モデルを作成した.事前に実施した鉄筋コンクリートはりの実験結果に対して,代替モデルを適用した結果,挙動のばらつきを精度よく再現できることを確認した.今後は,代替モデルに用いるパラメータの選定方法や関数の設定についての検討を行い,実用的な代替モデルに拡張していく予定である.

    2021年度は、ASR膨張に伴う力学特性の変化についての基礎的なデータを取得するとともに、膨張の異方性を生じさせるために、直交3方向に異なる拘束鋼材比を有するコンクリート供試体の作製を行った。また、PC鋼材の張力変化について漏洩磁束法によるデータ取得を試みた。その結果、以下の成果が得られた。
    成果1:異なる反応性骨材を用いてコンクリートを作製し促進膨張試験を行った。また、所定の膨張量に達した供試体に対して圧縮載荷試験を行った。その結果、ASR膨張挙動が異なることのみならず、劣化後の力学特性の低下傾向は異なり、同程度の膨張量においても圧縮強度、弾性係数、圧縮破壊エネルギー等の力学特性の低下の程度は異なることを確認した。この要因としては、供試体内部において生じたひび割れの影響であると考えられる。
    成果2:ASR劣化したコンクリートの圧縮破壊時のひび割れ進展挙動を、DIC(画像相関法)を用いて検討した。その結果、ASR膨張により生じたひび割れにおいて局所的な変形挙動が確認された。このことが、力学特性の低下につながっていることを確認した。
    成果3:異なる反応性骨材を用いて、3次元的に拘束の程度が異なる供試体を作製し、促進養生を開始した。また、昨年度の検討で失敗したプレテンションPC部材を再度作製し、促進養生を開始した。
    成果4:作製したコンクリート供試体を用いて、PC鋼材に付与した緊張力を部分的に変化させた場合に漏洩磁束法の測定結果がどのような影響を受けるかについて検討を行った。その結果、磁化した鋼材直上における磁束密度は緊張力の変化があった部分でのみ減少することを確認し、PC鋼材の局所的な緊張力の変化を漏洩磁束法により評価できる可能性が示された。

    In this research project, we focus on Raman spectroscopy as a method that can quickly and easily measure the ASR reactivity of aggregates, and aim to establish a method for evaluating the ASR reactivity of aggregates and the amount of remaining expansion. Since it has been confirmed that the ASR reaction product does not expand due to water absorption and the amount of water absorption expansion of the reactive aggregate itself is large, ASR is considered to be caused by silica dissolved from the aggregate filling voids and not being able to mitigate expansion due to water absorption of the aggregate. In addition, it has been found that the Raman spectrum of aggregates that are easy to dissolve has strong fluorescence caused by non-crosslinked Si-O in the low wave number side , and that are easy to expand due to water absorption has strong fluorescence of glass.

    The purpose of this study is to demonstrate a prediction method for deleterious expansion of concrete caused by alkali-silica reaction (ASR). To identify the parameters related to the expansion model, accelerated expansion tests, AW-CPTs (Alkali-wrapping Concrete Prism Tests), were conducted. In this method, test specimens were wrapped by wet non-woven paper containing the alkaline solution equivalent to the alkalinity of pore solution in concrete. These parameters were introduced to a chemical and kinetic model for expansion prediction. The results by the numerical simulation were compared with the expansion measured by the concrete specimens exposed to the natural environment for 5 years. The model turned out to demonstrate a remarkable agreement with the experiment when environmental conditions such as precipitation and temperature were well defined.

    In this study it was tried to evaluate water penetration by measurement of IR thermography after microwave heating.
    As results, it was confirmed that temperature of crack part become higher than sound part when water penetrate into crack in case mortar part is dry. And temperature gap between crack part and sound part become larger as crack width become larger or heating time become longer.
    On the other hand, in case moisture content of mortar part is high, temperature of crack part become lower than sound part because heat storage of mortar part is large. Furthermore, crack part can be observed more clearly in the cooling process after heating when water cement ratio is small.

    Shear capacity of various Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composite (FRCC) beam was experimentally investigated considering shear stress transfer characteristics along the crack surface. Numerical evaluation was also conducted by Finite Element Method (FEM), in which shear stress transfer model of FRCC, developed in this study, was introduced to evaluate the effect of fiber bridging at the crack. As the results of direct shear loading tests, the fiber bridging did not have much effect on the shear stress transfer along crack surface of FRCC but the fracture energy which was dissipated energy during crack opening had effects on. This result was also confirmed by FEM analysis considering shear bridging in the constitutive model. Therefore, it is important to evaluate properly the tension softening behavior as well as to consider the shear stress transfer along the crack surface in order to estimate the shear capacity of FRCC.

    The verification method of explosive behavior and structural safety under high temperature such as fire was developed. The method is integrated method of 3-dimensional Rigid Body Spring Method based on dynamic equation of motion as structural analysis and TRUSS network model as mass transfer analysis. Moreover, the method was extended to consider continuous explosive behavior, mechanical properties change with temperature history and thermal effect to reinforcing bar. It was confirmed that the method can evaluate explosive behavior, the effects of several factors on explosive behavior and structural performance in and after fire.

    The degradation process of shear strength after flexural yielding of RC member subjected to cyclic loading was evaluated numerically and experimentally.
    Regarding numerical method, 3D Rigid Body Spring Model (3D RBSM) was used. Firstly, shear failure after flexural yielding of RC beam subjected to cyclic loading was simulated and applicability of 3D RBSM was confirmed. Then, a method which can evaluate the degradation process of shear strength after flexural yielding was proposed. It was shown that the strength degradation curve obtained by analysis shows similar behavior with the equation obtained by statistical procedure. Moreover, the effects of web reinforcement ratio, axial force and tensile reinforcement ratio on shear degradation curve were evaluated. On the other hand, a method to evaluate shear strength degradation experimentally was proposed and the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed.

    A 3-dimensional time-dependent structural analysis method was developed based on Rigid Body Spring Method, which is applicable to simulate cracking behavior of concrete accurately. The applicability of the developed method on the degradation prediction of concrete structures was verified. The method was applied to the phenomenon of rebar corrosion problem and fire proof problem, which both are important problem for durability verification of concrete structures. The method could evaluate not only corrosion crack propagation behaviors but also spalling of concrete block from an existing structure. Regarding the fire proof problem, the explosive spalling behavior could be simulated due to fire and the mechanism was clarified.
