2022年度には以下の4点の研究成果があった。
時安邦治（研究代表者）は第94回日本社会学会大会（東京都立大学）において「シティズンシップ教育と3つの政治」と題する研究発表を行った。社会において多様な人々が共同して生活することの価値を子どもが理解することがシティズンシップ教育の目的であり、個人の尊重と社会的目標の両立を求めるゆるやかな共通善の政治が必要だと論じた。
谷本奈穂（研究分担者）は『現代思想』9月号（青土社）で「ロマンティックラブ・イデオロギーというゾンビ」という論考を発表した。雑誌記事の調査結果などから、結婚が恋愛を正当化するロマンティックラブ・イデオロギーが、恋愛が結婚を正当化するロマンティックマリッジ・イデオロギーに変容したことを論じ、親密な関係性において暴力の作動や多様な関係性が見失われる危険性を指摘した。
また谷本は福間良明編『昭和五〇年代論』（みずき書林）に「昭和五〇年代の美容言説」を発表した。昭和５０年代の美容言説の分析を通して、主として女性の身体に関わる意識を明らかにし、身体か徐々に管理されていく様を明らかにした。
宮本真也（研究分担者）は高馬京子・松本健太郎編『〈みる／みられるのメディア論〉』（ナカニシヤ出版）に「『見える』／『見えない』の社会理論」を発表した。すでにある偏見、先入観によって、他人のことが社会空間において「きちんと見えなくなる」という状況をとりあげ、それをアクセル・ホネットによる社会的承認論の視座から考察した。そして認識の作用に還元しえない「見えない」ということをめぐる社会的な病理を可視化するために、私たちのコミュケーションにおける「承認」の社会理論の必然性について論じた。 -

The objects of this joint research are how science is represented in (children's) popular culture, how people receive such cultural contents, and how people take particular kinds of elements as 'scientific.' It is true that these contents have the critical viewpoints about science, but after all they emphasize the bright future rather than the risks of technology, so that the consumers can build up and keep trust in science and technology.

From1990s, the progress of globalization, the decreasing number of the youth, and the growing population of the aged in Japan has aggravated the identity problem of our communities in urban area (with the exception of Tokyo) and encouraged the powerless feelings haunted in their residents' minds. Basically, the identity of a community constitutes the infrastructure of citizens' movements. They are now threatened by the over-fluidity in our urban life. In our research project, we have tried to find out the latent possibilities of a spectator sport to solve these problems. Because the franchise area of a team in Nippon Professional Baseball League (NPB) often accord with the de facto outlines of an urban community, the marketing activities of a NPB team tend to stimulate its residents to be keen to their identity.

現代における公衆の科学理解について:日英独の事例を通じて

本研究において目標とするのは現代社会における科学のありかたを、公衆の理解、科学的営み、経済的市場のあいだの関係性に着目して模索することである。この目標を達成するために研究会を東京、大阪、静岡で11回開催し、研究の進捗状況を報告し合うとともに、研究情報を交換した。主要テーマは以下の通りである。
・宮本真也「承認の忘却としての物象化」・西山哲郎「M. Callonの<co-word analysis>とは何か」
・時安邦治「ポピュラー文化とクローン」・谷本奈穂「美容の科学-女性の身体と科学言説」
・水嶋陽子「子育て技術の変容と祖母役割の今後」・関嘉寛「安全・安心の科学」
また、電子メールによって「Theory, Culture & Society」を発行しているTCSセンター(イギリス)、フランクフルト大学社会研究所(ドイツ)と情報交換を行い、海外における研究動向についての知見を深めた。
さらに12月例会では、明治大学情報コミュニケーション学部・石川幹人教授と大阪大学サイバーメディアセンター・菊池誠教授を招いて講演を依頼し、両氏に「科学と擬似科学の間」や、「ニセ科学」について語っていただき、理解を深めると共に、今後の我々の研究方針について多くの示唆を得ることができた。
これらの研究活動の結果として、水嶋は育児における知のあり方をめぐって、世代間に起きるコミュニケーション・ギャップの問題について聞き取り調査をし、その成果を論文として発表した。また、本共同研究のメンバーの論文を加筆修正し、年度末には「平成19-20年度科学研究費補助金(萌芽研究)成果報告書」を作成した。 -
On Emergent Construction Mode of Gender Identity, which Has Been Cultivated in Fitness Club.

The purpose of this research is to bring the emergent construction mode of gender identity in present age Japan into relief. In a conventional research, gender identity is explained from "Social consciousness" or analyzed from "Power relation in communications". However, the agency of the body, popularly tending to be seen as the constant of invariability, was paid to attention in this research.
The axes of our research technique are (1) analysis of articles in popular magazine, (2) interview to fitness club participants and (3) hearing from specialist of body practice like fitness instructor and cosmetic surgery medicine. At the first year, it went around the comparison investigation of Germany and South Korea. The focus was applied to investigation of actual conditions in Japan during the second year.
Having been confirmed from these investigations was the following if it said roughly. (1) A modern gender identity construction style heads for the direction where man and woman's character difference is not emphasized by taking a scientific body management method in the area related to the body. (2) Recently, the body image assumed to be an ideal in both gender is settling as a finding of the analysis of the article in a fitness magazine compared with 20 years ago. (3) "Neat paranoiac" concerning the obedience to the rule was seen by the fitness club participant, and the relation to the peculiar, "disciplined", body consideration of them was seen. (4) However, the person who made efforts to the exchange with others (especially, instructor) stood out in the fitness club in Japan, by compared with Germany where only the person who exclusively concentrate on own body.

Devising educational methods

①講義科目の成績評価では、もっぱら暗記力を試す穴埋めテストを採用せず、思考力と文章表現力を鍛えるために、試験期間より前に問題を公表し、時には学生が考えて作ってきた解答案を試験前に見せてもらって、何をどう勉強したらよいかを指導している。この工夫により、試験前の復習が効率よく行えるだけでなく、学生は真の意味で自分の意見をもつようになり、「学士力」を育てることができる。 ②演習科目については、学習過程で積極的にディベートを取り入れ、自己満足な自説にこだわりがちな若者の視野に社会性をもたせるよう工夫している。せっかく少人数の演習を用意しても、なかなか自発的な発言が出てこないことはよくある話だが、ディベートならゲーム感覚で勝敗を競うため、学生から積極的な発言が引き出せる。さらに研究成果の発表に際して、旧来のレポートや論文形式だけでなく、新聞記事や広告に似せた書式を使って書かせる方式を導入したことで、楽しみながら学生の思考を深めることができる。新聞記事や広告に似せた報告書は、担当教員だけが見るのではなく、学部の他の教員や学生に公開することにしており、学生が手を抜けない環境づくりに役立っている。また、パワーポイントを使っての意見発表の機会も折にふれもうけることで、文章表現だけでなく口頭の表現力も鍛え、就活などの際にも生かせるように工夫している。 ③教育の場を大学の外にも展開するべく、プロスポーツクラブの協力を得て、実際的なニーズのある社会調査を行い、企業活動に提案させてもらうなど学生のインターンシップにつなげている。
