    Adolescents tend to face many anxieties in the process of identity constructions. The trouble maker can be observed in the process of school days. The paper discusses empirically in terms of the mental health of students. A mental survey is conducted on the basis of psychiatry and clinical psychology. Fuzzy reasoning model is applied as an intelligent information processing for in-depth psychological analysis. Furthermore, the study constructed a diagnosis model for the trouble making in school attendance based on the evaluation of personality disorder diagnoses as well as internal problems. The possible solutions to the university attendance problem for students are analysed empirically.

    For analysis of influence on traffic environment change, a traffic simulation model is used. In the study, the carfollowing model that is the important component of the traffic simulation is examined. In the ordinary traffic simulation model, a numerical formula model is used as a car-following model. In the study, the applicability of the fuzzy neural network model is examined. In the existing study, the fuzzy neural network model is developed using the running survey data. In the study, the applicability of the car-following model is examined. As a result, the model using the fuzzy neural network can be estimated in a small error then a conventional non-linear car-following model. As s result of examination using the traffic simulation model, the difference of the result by the model is observed.

    In the infrastructure planning, the research field is extended to the mental health additionally to the economic oriented social system planning. The mental analysis gives the impact to creation of identity of civil engineers as well as self-organized mentality of citizens expected in urban planning and transport planning. In the study, the analysis of depth psychology is introduced to develop the mental planning in infrastructure planning. Actually, the knowledge base system for diagnosis system of "Baum test" (tree test) to recognize the personality of younger generation. In particular, the production system is developed with inference engine based on the knowledge of experience to describe the process of interpret the mentality in depth reflecting the projection of tree. Furthermore, the neural network is applied to develop the estimation model to indicate the relation between actual psychoactive and inner mentality. The application of intelligent information processing to clinical psychology provides the direction to solve the problem of mentalities in the social system.

    On the urban expressway, the toll system was changed from the uniform toll system to distance-based toll system at 2012. In the distance-based toll system, setting of a variety toll form is possible. The elastic operation depending toll setting is not assumed, because the toll rate is decided based on a repayment principle of a construction cost of the urban expressway. In the study, substantial analysis is executed about the applicability of the distance-based toll for individual route based on the progress of the toll collection technology by the spread of ETC system. The traffic assignment model based on the distance-based toll of the urban expressway for large scale road network is developed. It is suggested the proper pricing method by the combination of route-based toll by setting the distance-based toll according to the travel route. It can be suggested the elastic pricing of the urban expressway in consideration of a marginal cost.

    Debris treatment is an important issue after large-scale disasters. Reasonable and efficient debris treatment is required to realize faster reconstruction. In particular, this study focusses on fuzziness in debris treatment planning. The fundamental formulation reduces the problem to a standard transport problem. A fuzzy debris transport problem is formulated using fuzzy constraints for supply and demand. A problem-solving algorithm is mentioned to show an irrelative approach by referring to a numerical example. Realistic debris transport planning can be realized using the proposed method.

    The spread process of clean energy vehicle opposing to conventional vehicles is discussed in the study to realize low carbon society. The decision making action about the vehicle choice at the vehicle purchase is modeled. The choice of the clean energy vehicle is based on potential consciousness, and uses the questionnaire survey. The vehicle choice model is decision making structure with much variety, ant the application of the statistical model is difficult. Therefore, the decision tree technique to clarify decision making structure is used. The fuzzy decision tree technique to describe a judgement based on the fuzzy information about the clean energy vehicle is used. The decision making structure of the driver for the vehicle choice is clarified, and the examination of the spread policy of the clean energy vehicle is enabled.

    The personality disorder should be contemporary social issue in terms of mental health. In the study, the fact finding survey for college students of adolescence is designed according to the personality disorder diagnosis of DSM-5. The characteristics of BPD, NPD and APD can be summarized empirically from the statistics analysis. The estimation models for the degrees of personality disorders are proposed with linear regression analysis as well as neural network approach. It is concluded that neural network model can provide the proper combination of BPD, NPD and APD.

    The low carbon traffic as well as urban activities are recommended in the district based smart cities proposed recently. The traffic management involving CEV (Clean Energy Vehicles) such as electric vehicles (EV) is discussed in the study. The road traffic management with increase of EV in the target area as the former foreign settlement of Kobe. The impact of increase of EV to the road traffic flow can be estimated with referring to the acceleration performance of EV. The road traffic simulation with estimation of carbon dioxide emission is introduced. The network traffic flow in the district can be estimated through the increase of EV. It is known from the results that the efficient traffic can be realized from the increase of EV on the networks. Furthermore, the EV dominant zone is assumed in the district for future traffic management. The proposed management can be evaluated effectively in the district in terms of environmental load as well as traffic flow on the networks.

    Recently, Hybrid vehicles (HV) and electric vehicles (EV) are regarded as clean energy vehicles. In future low carbon city, the carbon dioxide emission should be reduced in urban transport section. Therefore, the urban transport system is regarded as a major issue in the smart city for future environmental sustainability. The study aims at investigating the introduction of clean energy vehicles (CEV) of trip makers in increase number of several low carbon vehicles. In the study, the vehicle ownership can be formulated respectively with fuzzy logic. The decision model of trip maker can be created to change the vehicles from petrol vehicle to electric vehicles as well as hybrid vehicles. Therefore, the demand estimation model for advanced type vehicles can be developed in terms of addition of travel mode types in the low carbon society. The model should be designed to formulate the singleton fuzzy reasoning in vehicle ownership of trip makers. The models may demonstrate the essential elements in traffic demand estimation of future smart cities. Finally, the results of the study can be effectively utilized to create the multi-agent models to describe the spatial distribution of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles to reduce the carbon dioxide emission in the city.

    The discussion is required in actual traffic safety countermeasure planning with empirical knowledge of experts and the field survey results. The decision of experts are recommended according to many findings based on the facts with fuzzy information. Therefore, fuzzy reasoning model for decision making is proposed in the study to classify the cause of traffic accidents in intersections, direct the traffic safety countermeasures and propose the individual traffic safety countermeasures. Since the real examples of traffic safety countermeasures are observed, the proper formulation of intelligent information processing with fuzzy reasoning can be proposed.

    In the local city, public transport users decreases by the motorization. On the other hand, with the progression of aging, the increase in elderly person having difficulty in driving of the vehicle is predicted. Community bus is operated by the local government to secure the mobility in the local city. However, the community bus has some problems such as little ridership. In the study, the estimation model for travel demand is developed by using the questionnaire survey data to analyze the consciousness structure. Users of the community bus are few among questionnaire respondents. In the study, the rough sets is used to build the model. Therefore, the development of a model having high explanation is possible.

    In the study, for future environmentally-friendly cities, the aim is to propose a transport system that is related to the formation of district based smart cities. That is, address urban space migration related to district-unit energy management in an integrative way. Here, in particular, a specific configuration of a smarter transport system is proposed for the central business district of the city along with estimating the change in the city traffic behavior. In connection with the urban activity of the business district, and with the assumption that there is a district based smart grid and BEMS (building energy management system), the effect of the introduction of electric vehicles (EV) brought on by business activities will be put in order.

Time series traffic demand of urban expressway as well as revenue of toll should be estimated by neural networks to determine the proper future tendency of traffic demand of the area. The proper redemption schedule can be discussed from the estimation results.

An artificial society model introduced to evaluate the amount of environmental impact is developed. The urban development policy is evaluated using this artificial society model. It is possible to consider the direction of sustainable urban development.

    Estimation of modal choice is an essential problem for urban transport planning. Logit model is often applied as a discrete choice model based on random utility theory in the practical field. On the contrary, fuzzy logic approach has been proposed to describe the travel behaviour with human fuzziness. In the study, the hybrid model is introduced to create the advanced model with random utility and fuzzy logic. In particular, several formulations of hybrid model between logit model and fuzzy reasoning model are proposed. The application of the proposed model can be mentioned with the empirical database of person trip survey for urban area. Finally, the advantages of the hybrid model can be summarized in terms of description as well as estimation.

    Global warming and its mitigation measures such as GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reduction have been extensively discussed all over the world. The transport sector occupied about 20% within the GHG of Japan. Countermeasures in the road traffic are urgent, since about 87% of the GHG emission of the transport sector is emitted from automobiles. For the effective reduction of the GHG such as CO 2, the quantitative analysis is necessary. Though the emission from the individual vehicle depends on various factors such as engine revolution, speed, and acceleration, that relation is complicated. Therefore, there is a limit on the modeling by the regression analysis. Then, the model which estimates the CO 2 emission from the individual vehicle using neural network is developed in this study. By including this model in the traffic simulation, the estimation of CO 2 emission becomes possible. Therefore, it is possible to examine traffic countermeasures considering the environmental effect.

    Many elements should be considered to demonstrate the urban activity for evaluation of city planning policy in the local city. The multi-agent model is proposed to produce the artificial society concerning with many urban activities and interaction between the citizen agents. In addition to the fundamental purpose of regional development in urban renewal policy evaluation, the evaluation method for city centre renovation is discussed connecting with the problems in local city. The multi-agent model is proposed as an artificial society involving measurement mechanism of environmental load. The citizen agents and commercial store agents are assumed in the complex system model. The fundamental formulation of the agent activities is discussed. Furthermore, the evolutional process for urban activities is additionally mentioned. As the artificial society as summary of urban citizens is established, comprehensive evaluation of city planning policy becomes available and the sustainable direction of city planning can be shown with observation of future change of society.

    In this study, the route choice behavior is analyzed by using the result of the route choice survey. The neural network model, which is explained the route choice behavior, is developed. The state of congestion of the route, the number of signals and stops, the easiness of driving, and the difference of the travel time are used as input data. The model is trained with 140 samples of the survey. The percent of fitness between the estimated result and the observed one is 93%, and this result is satisfied.

    The aim of this study is to examine about the hourly traffic assignment method when the user equilibrium model is applied to the road network including expressway. The toll road including expressway have a lot of features unlike the surface street. For example, the running speed is faster, the capacity of the road is larger and toll is necessary. So we cannot treat it like the surface street equally without some process. In this study, the toll resistance method (toll is converted by time value) and the diversion rate method for the expressway are used as the way of dealing with this problem. Well, this study analyzes the traffic prediction of Nagoya City in the morning peak hours by using the road network around the Nagoya City, and compares two methods. According to the assignment results, the time value is 60.5 yen/person/minute by the toll resistance method, and 40.0 yen/person/minute by the diversion rate method for the expressway. According to the questionnaire investigation, the time value is 62.5 yen/person/minute.     A microscopic road traffic simulation model is proposed in this study. The characteristic of the speed decision model is to be able to consider an individual drive characteristic by using the Car-Following model which uses fuzzy neural network. The route choice model is built by use of the logit model. The simulation model is checked at actual state. The TDM policy is examined for the Toyota city, and utility was shown. Moreover, the traffic capacity is analyzed the influence which the change in the driver's characteristic, and it showed that driver's influence was largely received.

    The calculation efficiency of the parallel computation of traffic assignment was examined using the PC cluster system in order to deal with the increase caused by the extension of the assigned highway network, etc. The obtained results proved that the parallelization of independent origins was effective when the amount of OD data was significantly different for each vehicle type. The obtained calculation time was similar to the ideal value. It was proven that the multi-class stochastic user equilibrium traffic assignment model can be efficiently calculated using the PC cluster system.In this study, the origins were divided across a number of computers for the sake of simplicity. It is considered that the assignment is carried out by assigning an index to the amount of calculated OD traffic volume by considering load equalization. The calculation algorithm of the multi-class stochastic user equilibrium traffic assignment must be improved in the future.

    In Japan and many other developed countries, the number and proportion of ”aged drivers” are rapidly increasing. Air pollution by automobile exhaust gas is a serious problem, particularly in urban areas. This paper describes the estimation of the exhaust gas quantity using a traffic simulation model based on driver parameters with particular consideration of aged drivers. It is demonstrated that both the NOx emission and fuel consumption increase with the number of aged drivers.

    In this study, the loading condition was changed on a real road for trucks using an NOx measuring device. The exhaust gas was measured, and detailed data were obtained.On the basis of the obtained data, a model of NOx emission and fuel consumption was developed.It was also possible to estimate the CO2 reduction effect from the fuel consumption model.Next, models were built using the microscopic road traffic simulation model (CaTS), the exhaust gas quantity was estimated, and the usefulness of this system was shown.

    The study results are summarized as follows:i)The charge resistance method and the diversion function method were applied to the model of the stochastic user equilibrium assignment by vehicle type for traffic networks including toll roads.ii)After the assignment, characteristics of the diversion function method were clearly identified in such a way that expressway traffic volume was more in the diversion function method than in charge resistance method.iii)For assignment by vehicle type, there remains a problem in the accuracy of assignment for small cargo trucks.iv)Computation algorithm, CPU time and assignment accuracy were studied and compared for the charge resistance method and diversion function method.As a result, the charge resistance method was found to be better.

    When elderly or handicapped people go out, some barriers exist between the origin and the destination. Even if some barriers are improved, these people cannot reach the destination, if one barrier exists on the route. However, it is difficult that the whole barriers are improved around the street. What should we do in order to reach his/her destination? By receiving the information of the barrier's position, type and level etc. on the route, we can judge the route beforehand.The purpose of this study is to develop the travel information system for elderly or handicapped pedestrians depend on the handicapped level.     本研究では,車種が考慮できる均衡配分手法として車種別確率的利用者均衡配分モデルを示し,そのアルゴリズムの構築を行なった。次に,計算可能規模の検討を行なった。その結果,愛知県の幹線道路ネットワーク程度の規模では,現段階でも十分計算が可能であること,中京都市圏の幹線道路ネットワーク程度の規模では,2~3年後には計算が可能になるとを示した。また,計算時間については,一次元探索の計算を工夫すること,並列計算機を用いれば単車種とほぼ変わらない速度で計算が可能であることなどを示した。

    Pricing policy for urban expressway regarding with traffic management is proposed theoretically and technically in the study. Firstly, analysis technique of road traffic is developed based on user equilibrium traffic assignment with variable demand. Combinatorial optimization problem is formulated to determine the optimal tolls of urban expressway as well. Secondly, elastic pricing policy is proposed regarding with traffic management. In particular, the determination of tolls is formulated to maximize the economic benefit of overall urban transport networks. Thirdly, intelligent information processing such as FL, NN, GA, ACO and etc. is applied to create the variable pricing policies. Metaheuristic approach without large scale calculation can be proposed from the above techniques.
    It is concluded from the results of the study that the effectiveness of pricing policy for urban expressway regarding with traffic management can be summarized.

    In the study, pricing policy of urban expressway is regarded as traffic management of urban road network. The effective pricing approach is proposed to promote the traffic adjustment function. In particular, the optimizing method with traffic assignment and soft computing to analyze the traffic flow on the network is mentioned. The practical pricing is formulated to maximize the social surplus and the second best pricing is mentioned as well. The elastic distance based toll on urban expressway can be proposed to realize the traffic management considering the time and space traffic. Furthermore, the integrated social optimizing pricing method with different objectives is proposed practically as well. Finally, the comprehensive pricing method on urban expressway has been proposed to provide the effective traffic management as well as to reduce the environmental effects.

    The objective of this study is to develop urban micro-simulation and the way of policy evaluation by means of it as a tool for decision making on sustainable urban management for urban areas that are going to shrink with decreasing population and change of household structure. The micro-simulation system on future household location and housing choice has been developed based on the micro-data of households and residences gotten by the questionnaire survey conducted in Toyama which has 420 thousands of population. Furthermore, the evaluation on housing policy with the simulation as well as the way of policy measures choice has been proposed.

    近年になって均衡配分手法についての研究及び実用化が行なわれてきている。しかしながら,コンピュータプログラムの作成は,各機関・会社が独自に行なっており,そのソースコードは一般的には公開していないため,中身はブラックボックスとなっており,本当に正しく交通量を推定しているのか分からないのが現状である。本研究では,車種別の均衡配分問題を効率的に解くアルゴリズムを開発することを第1の目的とする。第2の目的は,プログラムのソースコードをインターネット上に公開し,誰でも参照可能にするとともに,プログラムの不備を誰でも指摘することが出来るシステムの構築を行なうことである。また,作成したプログラムの検証を行なうことが出来るベンチマークデータの整備を行なうことを第3の目的とする。
    本年度は,平成17年度に開発を行った車種別確率的利用者均衡配分の並列計算システムおよび平成18年度に行ったプログラム検証用のベンチマークデータを公開し,交通量配分プログラムの検証をすることが出来るシステムの構築を行った。検証システムを整備するにあたり,まず計算結果および計算時間などを各種のデータ・コンピュータで求め,結果を整理した。検証システムはWebべースとして,検証専用のパーソナルコンピュータを導入した。
    この計算システムおよび検証システムの公開により,各会社が独自に開発するコストが大幅に削減されるとともに,交通量配分システムの透明性が確保される。また,車種別均衡配分システムが急速に浸透すると予測される。

    Many cities will decrease in population in Japan where depopulation is already observed at the nation level. However, conventional city models and urban economic theories as the bases consider the only expansion mechanism of a city and are not able to correspond in depopulation. First of all, this research extracted some depopulated cities from Kinki area and analyzed land-use change in each city. Although populations of the cities are decreasing, we found that many residents at twenties or thirties years old who want to purchase houses first in their lives live in expanding fringe areas by comparing age constitutions in city planning areas and DIDs in depopulated cities where is expanding in area with ones in other areas. High amenity residential spaces should be developed in the city center or its surroundings and these residents should be promoted to move to there for preventing expansion of city areas and keeping green areas. On the other hand, it is thought that cities between metropolitan cities, for example, ones between Osaka and Kobe or Kyoto, become good candidates for their residential areas in Kinki area Because these cities are located near the center of metropolitan area and have much stock of infrastructure and then we can expect improvement of buildings and facilities by the large unit of block. In the center or its surroundings of a city, the unit of trade of land is very small since land tends to be supplied to a market by small unit, and furthermore the timing of supply is various. Therefore, it is difficult to use an equilibrium scheme and aggregated approach. Then a cohort type model which can forecast residential population and corresponding land-use by very small unit is developed. As the results, population and structures of family member and ages change according to conditions of lands and houses by the small unit along time passing before or after an infrastructure development and the difficulty of forecasting of not only future population at twenties years old who usually go out and come in but also future location of aged people whose new movements are observed from the view point of medical care is understood.

    Along with an aging society, the term "barrier free" has begun to be used. When disabled set out to reach their chosen destination, various kinds of barriers exist. In order to remove them and guarantee "freedom of movement", it is necessary to arrange for sidewalks and roads to be continuous. However, it is difficult to arrange for the removal of all barriers in an existing city. The purpose of this study is to develop the system of providing information which enables the disabled to judge the route to their destination in person. Furthermore, we grasp current problems and examine a possibility of the priority determination system of improvement of barriers by the system of providing information. An important requirement when providing information is facilitating incorporation of new data according to needs, so systemized provision of information becomes necessary. This time, for the purpose of making this system, a series of flows ranging from collecting of information to production was performed. Since realization of the idea was the main point and some parts were easily modeled, there are some problems such as collecting of information, set up of an evaluation value, the structure of the program, etc. However, this system can be gradually applied and made highly suitable for general purposes by improvement in each step and the whole system.
