    Abstract

    Magnetic bearings support rotors contactlessly by magnetic force. Therefore, friction, noise, and energy loss can be solved. In this study, the HTS magnetic bearings are used. The HTS magnetic bearing system consists of the rotor with permanent magnet and stator with the HTS. By using the pinning force, it can levitate stably without control. On the other hand, the stability of the entire system when it vibrates is not clear. In this paper, the entire system is subjected to vibration by an external force. The rotational attenuation increased during the period of vibration. When the vertical variation was applied, the vibration at the moment of passing through the vertical displacement affected the rotation, and the rotational attenuation increased compared to the case without the vertical displacement. However, the rotation after the vibration period is stable and the rotational attenuation can be suppressed, and there is no significant difference from the case without vibration. We also confirmed that it is possible to maintain stable levitation of the rotor.
